Vieira predicts more success

Patrick Vieira is predicting another trophy laden campaign at home and abroad this season at Inter Milan. The Frenchman was expected to leave the San Siro in the summer with a move back to France and a return to Arsenal strongly mooted.

Despite the speculation the 33-year-old has been a prominent member of the Nerazzurri first team this term and started the 2-0 win over Parma at the weekend.

Having won the last four Scudetti the midfielder has predicted that Inter will be crowned champions again come May.

"We believe in ourselves, we have been the best team in this country for four years," he told skysports.com.

"There are big clubs in the Italian league but we are the best of those great clubs."

Despite personally failing to progress further than the quarter-final stage of the Champions League in the last five seasons, while Inter have also failed at the last-16 round in the past three years, Vieira insists the club can conquer Europe this term.

"We want to have a decent run in the Champions League," he added.

"The team is very good, I don't think any team will fancy us. We have all the ingredients to have a great season at home and in Europe."
